Are migraines and jaw pain controlling your way of life?

Before you decide what to do about it, find out what’s really going on.

Living with migraines and jaw pain is hard enough. You shouldn't have to leave another appointment with more questions than answers.

You want to be able to work without constantly checking how you feel. Eat without thinking about your jaw locking. Sleep without wondering if you'll wake up with teeth cracking. Make plans without wondering how pain will change them.

Be present in your own life again instead of managing your pain daily.

Getting Assessed

One-on-one with Sarah Morgan, RN,

The assessment is for people dealing with migraine or headache pain, and TMJ or jaw-related concerns including clenching and grinding.

What Sarah goes through:

  • What pain you've been dealing with and how long it's been going on
  • How often the clenching or grinding occurs, and when it's worst
  • What you've already tried, and what happened
  • Your full medical and dental history, including previous work, medications, and anything flagged by your dentist
  • An examination of your jaw and the areas where you feel pain, along with your range of motion
  • Whether Suffuse Wellness is the right place to help

What you leave with, in writing:

  • A summary of the assessment and what was found, including an information sheet, sleep and exercise tracking sheet, aftercare guide, and follow-up support contacts
  • A clear answer on whether Suffuse Wellness is the right place to start
  • If a partner practice is the better fit, you'll know where to go and what to ask for
  • If neither is appropriate, you'll understand why and know what comes next

Being assessed is not a treatment decision. Sarah documents the findings. Dr. Dargie reviews them and makes the clinical determination himself.

You don't leave with more uncertainty. You leave knowing the right next step so you can start moving toward a life that's not controlled by pain.

The right support may involve more than one practice

Your assessment helps determine what the best next step is. Sometimes NeuroCalm is the right next step. Sometimes another practice is.

And that's where NeuroCalm's approach is different.

NeuroCalm brings together independent businesses with different areas of expertise.

So your next step can match what you need, and move you closer to a life not controlled by pain.

What Are Migraines?

"Migraine is a genetic neurological disease that affects 1 billion people worldwide. Migraine includes a severe, throbbing or solid, intense headache, typically on one side of the head that lasts from 4–72 hours, is made worse by any movement or physical exertion, and is often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, light and sound sensitivity. There are many other migraine symptoms listed below which vary from patient to patient.

Although the cause of migraine is not fully understood it is now believed that migraine attacks originate in the brainstem and involve the hyper-excitability of the peripheral and central nervous system. Basically, neurons misfire and unleash an electrocheminal reaction that sends pain signals to the cortex and cause other migraine symptoms. We know that the trigeminal nerve plays a key role in this process.

Migraine is a spectrum disorder, each patient has a very different experience. Each attack can vary in duration, intensity and symptoms. These are the classes of migraine by frequency:

Episodic = 0–8 migraine days per month

High Episodic = 9–14 migraine days per month

Chronic = 15 or more migraine days per month"

NeuroCalm Protocol is a pain and stress management protocol created by Suffuse Wellness' owner Sarah Morgan. She created the health protocol to assist patients in understanding and accessing the resources needed to live a fullfilling and joyful life with migraines. Through her own personal experience with migraines, she understands living life with chronic pain and managing the associated triggers. Botox treatments have given her mornings where she wakes up without pain or pressure. Her hope is to help others achieve a decrease in pain with Botox treatments and provide community partners who can help with creating a better quality of life for all her patients.

Patients with a previous diagnosis, treatment history and continued concerns with chronic migraine pain.

"A headache is a symptom of a migraine. Although a migraine is one of the most common causes of headaches, they can be caused by many different diseases. Individuals who experience frequent, severe, or unusual headaches should contact a healthcare provider to understand what may be causing this symptom."     -Migraine Canada, 2026

We ask that all patients looking to be part of the NeuroCalm Protocol, to book a no obligation consultation first. A complete health assessment by the Registered Nurse can be completed to discuss this with the ordering Physician prior to your treatment date, if appropriate.

Anytime you are assessing a concern causing pain it is important to consider different factors. Migraine Canada provides a Migraine Tracking app that is helpful not only for you but any specialist you are seeing for treatment or therapy.
